An Autumn Spring

In a few days,it will be exactly one year since a tornado landed right on top of our area. The woods next to our campus were destroyed; animals evacuated; trails closed.

Today, as I was jogging along a trail, I surprised a couple of deer. They were standing right there on the paved path, looking at the cars pass by on MD 193. The woods are gradually coming back too, although it will take them many years to get back to the forest look. The birds are chirping, and the flowers blooming. Spring so early?
